A simple device for turning blinking lights into sound. Whip a flashlight around and you’ll get low rumbles whose frequencies are dependent on the number of light/dark transitions in a given time. These produce complex textures and rhythms with LED flasher toys, remote controls and video.

Four Channel Light-Controlled Signal Distributor. Configurable as a Quad Panner. These sorts of designs were popular amongst early live electronics pioneers such as David Behrman, David Tudor and Frederic Rzewski. The darker the room, the greater the dynamic range. Works with audio and control voltages.
