I’ve been making lots of progress on the Guitar Synth. The PCB design is almost done. Only a few things left to add then it’s prototype time. Getting away from perfboard is a good feeling. The goal is to start cranking these out this Spring.
I leave you with some unbridled hatred from my modular synth:

New Pedals!
I’ve begun work on the first Repeater Electronics effects pedal. It is a ‘guitar synthesizer’ with the ability to add extremely weird overtones and octave shift effects. It is not limited to guitar and will feature a preamp that allows it to be used with just about any audio source. There will be inputs to inject external CVs (control voltages) for both of the more sensitive...

I have parts for one more Ring Wasp Synth/Processor if anyone else wants one. This will be the last one for a while.
Next up is a chaotic guitar synth with CV options.

Parts for the Ring Wasps have just arrived. I’m going to start building them after Thanksgiving. Won’t be long now.
Ring Wasp 2 progress
For those not yet aware, I’m working on a small batch of synthesizers based on my Ring Wasp design, but with several improvements and some brand new features.
The circuit revisions are finally done. The new features are super rad and really open this thing up as a sound source and as an audio processor. I’m soldering up the prototype then ordering parts for the first run.
I hope to...

Things have been rather quiet around here and I guess I should explain why. I’ve been working on a suitcase modular synth featuring a few older designs modified for control voltages (PLL Pitch Tracker, Clock Dividers, Ring Mods), some modified commercial equipment and several brand new designs (New oscillators, Pedal adapter, LFOs, Wasp filter, Vactrol Gates, Psuedo-random Generators and...

Review of the Sludge Puppy
Here’s a review that Andy Lippoldt (Persistence In Mourning and zz) was kind enough to write on the Sludge Puppy. Andy makes some great experimental doom metal and I’m excited to hear what he’s cooking up with the Sludge Puppy.
“repeater electronics - sludge puppy I stumbled upon the repeater electronics blog while doing some research on circuit bending. A lot of the...
